The lemon grove in my life is choc-full of fruit these days. I'm trying to come up with as many recipes as possible, metaphorically speaking. After all, there's only just so much lemonade a gal can make.
I got the bright idea to start a new blog while processing some of the particularly sour samples from the ol' grove. I mean, I'd be a total traitor to Generation Y if I didn't use the internet and/or social media to broadcast my complaints and document the perfectly unremarkable events of my life to a potential (read: non-existent) audience of billions. My tattoo, my college degrees, my alternative politics, my comfortable middle-class upbringing by two hardworking Baby Boomers... it all means nothing if I'm not doing this, right?
Right!
So, as far as the lemons are concerned, I won't be getting scurvy anytime soon. And because I'm totally a good sport despite it all, here's my favorite recipe:
- Cut lemon into wedges
- Rim shot glasses with juice and sugar
- Fill with 1.5 oz chilled vodka
- Garnish with lemon slices
- Serve and enjoy!
